Die TheraMon®-Ausleseeinheit
The TheraMon® reader connects via magnetic filed to the transponder and via USB connector to the TheraMon® software installed on the doctor´s office personal computer.
The transponder needs to be placed in parallel to the antenna of the reader. As soon as the brace is exposed to the magnetic field it will be recognized from the software. As soon as the transmission can be started, the start button turns to green. Now the readout can be started. The readout of the transponders memory will take between a few seconds up to max. 2 minutes, depending on the time past since the last visit of the patient at the doctor´s office.
Afterwards a graph is displayed on the monitor showing the real wearing time of the brace expressed in hours per day for each single day since the last inspection/readout.
Now the dentist/orthodontost is enabled to match the real wearing time with the existing treatment progress.
Due to the technical requirements and the physical limits beeing reached by the size of the transponder, the reader is a specially developed reading device for this particular transponder. This enables a excellent and failsafe transmission of data and energy between transponder and reader.
