The product TheraMon®
What is TheraMon® ?
The name of TheraMon® is a combination ot "therapy" and "monitoring" and shall explain the intended use of this unique development within one word.
With TheraMon® it is possible to document the treatment of tooth displacement with removeable orthodontic braces objectively and completely.
The gained results may lead to
- improved wearing motivation
- enhanced patient cooperation
- shortened treatment period
- clearly reduced of treatment costs
- a controlled and understandable treatment process
- an early recognized lack of treatment progress
- much earlier possible adaptation of treatment
but may also show
- very poor wearing discipline of the patient.
TheraMon® enhances the legal compliance of patient and orthodontist because of a completely documented treatment.
TheraMon® consists of a very tiny (8 x 12 mm) transponder which needs to be implemented in removeable braces, further a dedicted reader for wireless data transfer from the transponder (which is needed only from lab technicians and dentists) and a special MS Windows® based evaluation software, which comes with the reader. For the patient it makes no difference at all by means of handling and cleaning the brace, no matter if there is a transponder installed or not.
TheraMon® is an abolutely high tech product based on latest available technology. The development of TheraMon® has taken almost 5 years from the first idea to the final completion of the actual product. TheraMon® will enter the market in the 3. quarter of 2010 !
