Welcome at TheraMon®
We welcome you at the website of TheraMon®, the electronic system for documenting the real wearing time of removeable orthodontic appliances.
TheraMon® consists of a transponder and a reader together with a MS Windows® based evaluation software for PC´s. The transponder will be installed into splints and braces and stores in periodical intervals the real wearing time. Wireless via reader the dentist can read the stored data of the transponder and a chart of the real wearing is displayed on the monitor.
TheraMon® is not a new way of dental treatment but a unique documentation system for the treatment of tooth displacements with removeable braces and splints.

When will TheraMon® be commercially available ?
The worldwide economic development und thier impacts to financing banks and development partners, changes of production plants of suppliers as well as the highly technical and complex product design of TheraMon® has caused several delays within the last months. The planned time schedule for bringing TheraMon® to the market had to be postponed and we are vers sorry for this situation.
Therefor we would like to inform you about the current situation.
From now we do have a good number of pre series transponders and sufficient number of readers inhouse, the use of it will be as follows:
evaluation in various scientific studies in austria and germany
evaluation by few selected users within our near geografic sourroundings
evaluation of national markets by worldwide exclusive distributers
The different national distributers will start to introduce TheraMon® and it´s function within the next weeks.
market approach of the final product:
Within the first 2 weeks in january we expect to receive the final schedule of our swiss development and production partner, as soon as this schedule is in our hands, we will inform you on this website, when we start delivering the first commercially available units. At the beginning we may experience minor supply shortage, to prevent beeing affected from this, there will be a possibilty to sign up for delivery at an earlier stage, so we will supply those early orders with priority.
At this time please do expect the start of delivery in the 3. quarter of 2010, more detailed information will follow soon and will be updated on a regular base.
Why does it take so much time ?
Due to the experiences we have made with our pilot production of ransponders we have made several changes in the design and capability of Theramon®. This changes will additionally enhance functions and practical usage (the lifetime of transponders will be extend without charging between to approx. 2 years !).
This requires a re-design of the ASIC (application specific integrated circuit). Only by implementing such specific microchip it is possible to develop a transponder of this small size (8 x 12 mm) and such extended lifetime. This re-design requires a lot of time starting from designing until delivery of first lot of tested transponders we cannot speed up due to physical processes with required certain time frames needed.
Already today we can assure to you, that waiting for this product for the required time is worth doing it. The experiences we have made with pilot production transponders have shown outstanding performance and the various functions of therMon® will raise the quality of treatment in orthodontoc and sleep medicine dramatically.
